This article describes one possible method of associating the mobile device with it’s owner. This is especially useful as the device names for iOS devices won’t always give you an indication of who uses that device.

When enrolling iOS devices with Symantec Mobile Management 7.2 it the user of the device has the option of using either an enrollment URL or their eMail address. eMail is preferable for many users as it removes the need to remember and retype the lengthy enrollment URL. The implementation guide documents the method to enable Email enrollment for the iOS devices, but doesn’t cover this for Android devices. So here it is:
For iOS and Android:
1 Log in to your domain controller and run DNS.
2 In DNS, navigate to the domain folder.
3 Right-click the folder, and then click Other New Records….
4 In the Resourcerecord type window, select Text (TXT) and then click Create Record….
5 In the New Resource Record window, leave Record name blank. Enter the following value in Text:, and then click OK:
iOS only:
OSIAGENTREGURL=https://<your-site-server-IP-or-Servername>/MobileEnrollment/Symc-IOSEnroll.ASPX
Android only:
