• Enhanced native mobile device management for Android and Windows Phone 7
• New Symantec Mobile Security for Android
• New Symantec Data Loss Prevention for Tablets integration with Mobile Management
• New Symantec Managed PKI Service integration with Mobile Management
• Symantec O3 tie with Symantec’s enterprise mobility platform

The above enhancements will help your organization in its goal to enable new business models that use diverse mobile devices and innovative mobile applications. In all, Symantec is bringing you an enterprise mobility platform on which you can confidently standardize. We are delivering these capabilities via a combination of enhancements to our existing technologies and the recently completed acquisition of Odyssey Software, the OEM provider behind Symantec Mobile Management. As a customer of Symantec Mobile Management, you are using Odyssey technology today, and hence will not be impacted by this transaction.

By owning mobile device management (MDM) capabilities, Symantec will be positioned to better direct and enhance product development and expedite product delivery to help you address the quickly evolving mobile security and management requirements. The existing relationship between Symantec and Odyssey provides an already-established culture of collaboration and will better position the two teams to quickly integrate and enhance the solution together.
